OTHER MINISTRIES
C.A.R.E. Lay Ministries is designed to connect with people during their difficult times. The acronym C.A.R.E. stands for Compassion, Action, Redemption and Encouragement, which serve as core values for Lay Ministers. Some examples of the ministries offered are care and comfort to those in nursing homes, hospice or in need of home care.
The Veterans Ministry at Evangel Temple is a support ministry for the veterans of our church. Our mission is to fellowship and evangelize to those in our community who have proudly served our country and the armed forces.
The Samaritan House provides food and clothing to people in our community. We use this as an opportunity to witness and bring hope to those in need. We are open in Jacksonville (5475 Ramona Blvd) on Tuesdays 10am-1pm and Thursdays 2-5pm. We are open at our Middleburg campus on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 11 am-12 pm
Legacy is our ministry to the adult community age 50 and above. We enjoy regular times of fellowship, ministry, and caring for one another. Through our years of experience we have gained much wisdom and knowledge that can be shared with friends and family around us.
Our goal is to connect with adult members of our church with various nationalities and ethnic backgrounds. We invite them to participate in our fellowship groups to help them to grow spiritually, and to equip them to become active worker in our church.
Ministering the LOVE and saving grace of Christ to incarcerated teenage boys and girls. We minister in (several) juvenile detention facilities. Scheduled ministries on the 1st and 3rd Saturday's of the month and the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
Jesus told his church to make disciples, not converts. There's a huge difference between being a male and being a man. Manhood is gained through discipleship and becoming whom God has created you to be. Our desire is to see men share life together and discover their purpose and destiny through the men's ministry of Evangel Temple.
We seek to strengthen women of all ages through prayer, Bible study, conferences, and fellowship. As stated in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, we desire to “encourage one another and build each other up.” We are better together.
